Perl/Gtk with gdk_imlib and themes?

Has anyone been able to use Perl/Gtk with gdk_imlib, or themes? Looking at
Gtk+-1.2.0, gdk_imlib 1.9.4, and the version of gnome-perl in CVS, I'm
getting all sorts of dynamic linking errors, especially with the gdk_imlib
test, or with any code if a theme is engaged.
