Iīve seen your code, first the main time is use by the creation of the
background xpm pixmap. But why do you didnīt work with shapes instead of
pixmaps ?? If you use shapes you didnīt have to redraw this hughe
backround pixmap all the time. Look at gdk.h for the special functions.
