postscipt output?

Does anybody know anything about a "wraper" for gdk/Xlibs to generate
postscript outputs?
What I need is a library that generates postscript outputs from
gdk-like functions, for example
gdk_draw_line ---> gdk_ps_draw_line
The idea is to reproduce what i'm drawing on a drawing area in
postscript format.
