Button state

Hello ,
ist there a chance to turn the state of a normal button,
so that it canīt be pressed any longer ??
Iīm using gtk+1.06 . I wonīt go with gtk_widget_set_sensitive(button,FALSE);
It would be nice if these button looks like a insensitive menue item.
