Although the comments about setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH sound
correct, please use a more up to date version of GTK+.
GTK+-1.0.4 was not even the last version of GTK+-1.0.x.
Almost any program that uses GTK+ nowdays expects
GTK+-1.2.x.
