I think you mean: from 1.0 to 1.2, or from 1.1 to 1.2.

Maybe you _should_ change your code. Did you have a look at the release
notes? The main page of www.gtk.org has some pointers to changes.

What do you think? That they just changed the version number without
changing any code? ;-) It is possible that you have a buggy RPM, or a
mixture of GTK 1.0 and GTK 1.2 on your system. The GNOME pages have more
info on that issue.
