I will say it again: 
" I'm using glib-1.1.4 the previous version has been uninstalled, I
installed glib-1.1.4 in /opt/glib-1.1/ and 
'glib-config --cflags' returns: 
-I/opt/glib-1.1/include -I/opt/glib-1.1/lib/glib/include "
