You don't need memory protection in a single-user OS.  Bug-free
programs are the responsibility of the programmer, not the OS.  The OS
should, instead, concentrate on providing its services as quickly and as
efficiently as possible.

My PC only has 16MB of RAM, yet seems perfectly normal to me.  In fact,
most machines I come into contact with still only have 16MB of RAM.

Furthermore, I fail to see how RAM size and free disk space have anything
to do with things.
