GTK on HP-UX tales

Hi *,
Last week I downloaded GTK 1.0.4 on my HP-UX workstation at work,
     this is a HP-UX B-11.0 9000/7xx with Motif 1.2. After several
reconfigures (to get installation and X directories right) it
compiled almost without a hitch. Only

     1. I had to modify gdk/gdk.c because it includes a file
named Xmu/WinUtil.h (or something like that) which our
system does not have, I commented that line out and
compilation went fine so it seems that header file is
	not needed.

     2. The configure thing didn't seem to heed to all my
x-includes directives so I had to edit one of the
children makefiles to get it right.

Aside from that I have GTK and gtktest running fine. The marble
background is nice if it is made lighter otherwise it is too
dark to see the text (see the resource file).

One point though... for some reason the configure pass decided NOT
to build shared libraries :( why? do I have to specify it? so it
simply built the archive libraries so even linking a small program
takes ages :( otherwise it is running quite fine and plan to use
it at work and beat the Motif programmers ;-)

		Cheers,
				Emilio
