Data-bound widgets?

Hi,

Is anyone working on anything like data-bound widgets? - to make
it easy to write simple GTK apps which connect to PostgreSQL or mSQL?

I think it would be a very useful addition (I want to add them to
Glade!), though I'm not sure how difficult they would be to do.
