I sent this a while ago, but didn't receive any answer. Has this been
discussed before (pointer please)?
If not, could somebody tell what is the reason that gtk/gnome
applications do not offer the keyboard menu navigation familiar from
other toolkits? Accelerators are there but they are not the same
thing. Also some other "standard" conventions are missing. For
example, 'Escape' key should be equivalent with Cancel button in
dialog.
Gnome style guide even says:
All menu items, menubars, dialogs and notebooks should be navigable
from the keyboard.
But I haven't seen any gnome application with keyboard menu
navigation. Am I missing something?
