GTK is a widget toolkit (and an amazing one at that) and thus GTK apps can
be run under KDE just like any other toolit (Xaw -- Athena and Xm --
Motif, for example).  The GTK apps won't be able to communicate to the KDE
environment as well as they will in a gnome environment however.
