Hi,

Thank you for clarification that your issue is not specific to
DevanagariMT.

Apparently, the modules in /usr/lib/pango/1.4.0/modules are not
for pango-1.28.x. I think the API version of pango-1.28.x would
be 1.6.x (maybe 1.6.0). Thus, your installation might be incompleted.
Are you using installed binary, or built-but-not-installed-yet binary?
I recommend to use "strace" command to track the file access of
your pango-view binary.
