I wish to learn if anyone is working in fixing the bug reported in
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=481223 which is about 19
months old and still in unconfirmed status. It is probably not triaged
yet. The patch given by LingNing Zhang in comment #1 of above bug
report provides the solution which works fine in my tests in Ubuntu
platforms.
I also notice that another bug report
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=481203 , initiated around
same time is still carrying unconfirmed status although it had been
fixed in the latest Pango 1.24.1 release of 14-Apr-2009 as I have
pointed out in comment # 3 of this bug.
