Hey there sir, i'm not sure if you remember, but a while back I was
having trouble with building pango, it happened I had dual freetype libs
installed just as you had inclined, removing the additional freetype lib
and keeping only the newest did fix the problem, and i'm having alot more
success with the dpkg suite. Thanks for your help,
