Are you sure? It seems the cp1255 encoding is slightly different and
incompatible, I see no Hebrew Mark Upper Dot (U05C4) on CP1255, and at
the codepoint of 0xd4 there is instead HEBREW LIGATURE YIDDISH DOUBLE VAV
(U05F0).
Is the CP1255 description that comes with GNU libc wrong, or is cp1255
actually incompatible with SI 1311-1 ?
