Compile Problems with pango

Hi all,

First of all pardon me if this is not the right forum to discuss pango
related problems. 

I would appreciate if you could redirect me to the appropriate place.

I downloaded the pango-0.13.tar.gz to test it out. To compile the
glib-1.3.1.tar.gz was also downloaded and after a simple configure make,
make install it was installed.

Libraries have been installed in:
   /usr/local/lib
------------------------------------------

Then pango was configured and while compilation the folowing error occured

This ws followed by a lot of errors and the compilation terminated. Can
some one tell me what went wrong
