Its a bit uncommon to do it like you did in gtk/gtkwidget.h. Just do:

*· adjust_size_request: Convert·an·initial·size·request·from·a·widget's·#GtkSizeRequest 
* virtual·method·implementations·into·a·size·request·to·be·used·by ...
