Adding a Single-click mode for all Gnome apps

Can an accessibility or usability expert please take a look at the
following bug:
"Single-click mode for all Gnome apps"
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358731

This issue is preventing me from switching to Gnome from KDE. Note
that other desktop environments, such as KDE and Windows, have such a
single-click mode.

Note that I had posted this message to the Gnome Accessibility list
and the Gnome Usability lists, but there it was suggested that I ask
here instead.
