For those interested, I've been maintaining a branch with various
patches sitting in bugzilla and a few of my own. This is the branch
that was chosen for the most recent release of Mono on OSX so that
MonoDevelop can provide a better experience for our Mac users.

contains a potentially important fix to make 2+ monitors work with
GTK/Quartz. Those of us in the GTK/Quartz "community" would appreciate
someone with commit rights (1) looking at christian's approach and
forming a judgement on whether its the right approach to the problem
(2) committing this or some eventual fix.
Things are looking pretty bad for GTK/Quartz maintainance right now.
Nobody that has commit access appears to be in a position to test
(i.e. "care") about Quartz fixes; those who care do not have commit
access. It would be hugely preferable (IMHO) for us to not to have to
"branch" to an alternate git repo ...
