Ross?) A total rewrite of Sound Juicer is on my to do list, but as my current laptop doesn't have a CD drive progress has been slow. ;) One of the goals has been to ensure that the low-level libraries don't require GTK+ at all. That said, metadata is tricky. - CD-Text. I've yet to see a commercial CD with CD-Text support - FreeDB: useless. The commercial servers are good (cf iTunes), but freedb is a waste of space. [this is where I get flamed] - Musicbrainz. Yes, libmusicbrainz is dead. However, long live libmusicbrainz! There is a new API to the musicbrainz server which resulted in a far saner library and I have a prototype patch to hook it into libjuicer. I have a plan, it just needs doing. Volunteers to help gut and reconstruct Sound Juicer welcome. :) Ross -- Ross Burton mail: ross burtonini com jabber: ross burtonini com www: http://www.burtonini.com./ PGP Fingerprint: 1A21 F5B0 D8D0 CFE3 81D4 E25A 2D09 E447 D0B4 33DF
