Is the gtk-demo working on OSX?

While optimizing/fixing the backend I came across the OSX backend code
and saw that it doesn't do all those things that I wouldn't like to do
as well. It does not seem to clip out children when filling rectangles
or drawing. It does not recurse during invalidation. As DirectFB is much
more like OSX than X11 I was wondering if the OSX backend would be
working in that lightweight fashion. The overhead in the DirectFB backend
could be further reduced if we follow the OSX backend, unless it's not
working or the intensive tasks are just done elsewhere.

In that backend the ...clear_area(_e) calls are unimplemented, for example.
