Are you somehow implying that you outlined a problem ?
That glib is "difficult to compile" on some platforms ? is that what
irks you so ?
Maybe you could help out by writing a howto or a tutorial for
those who prepare platform binaries for thier distributions...
Or maybe its more verbosity from the existing build scripts that
is needed...
