unfortunately i'm having more problems.....

/usr/local/include/glib-2.0/gobject/gtype.h:92: syntax error before 
`typedef'

and that stuff goes on for a while before giving me a big fat error. i 
installed glib-2.0.1 and it seemed to detect that pretty well, but now 
i'm getting this. any ideas?
