Well I had been doing the Clipboard for Glade2 (not the gnome2 port, but the
rewrite). You can take a look at it in the glade2 module in CVS.

P.S. There is one bug in the current thing, which I'm going to fix, and some
things might change, but essentially it still the same thing.
Btw, what are wipro (here in India, right?) guys doing on Gnome?
