ARGB_VISUALS

I work on gnome-mplayer and it appears that a recent change in Ubuntu to
enable ARGB_VISUALS is breaking my application. There is a environment
variable that corrects it LIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1

However, I am looking for a way in my application that I can tell GTK
not to use ARGB visuals. Any pointers?

The bug is reported here:
