gtk_tree_view_column_set_sort_indicator function not working

hi,
gtk_tree_view_column_set_sort_column_id(column,1);
gtk_tree_view_column_set_sort_indicator(column, FALSE) is not working.

I want the sort feature with the indicator switched off.
Does anybody knows how to do it?
