Pango font names: help!

Hi, gurus

Seems GTK2 has done away with our beloved XLFD. Not that I think it's
pretty -- but it is well-documented and there are tools (xlsfonts,
xfontsel) to get to grips with it.

Now I have to write Pango font names in my rc files. Is there any
reference which might help me to come up with meaningful font names?

(BTW. the tutorial might need some update, since it still tells us to
put XLFDs in the rc file).
