disabled gtkmenuitem: style

Hi,

is there a way to set the style of a disabled gtkmenuitem by a resource
file?

I'd like to change this kind of "shadowing" which is hard to read on a
high contrast black/white theme. I am not sure if this style has
something to do with "shadowing".

I've found the GtkMenuItem::selected-shadow-type, which however affects
the selected items only.
