Ah, yes. The GTK+ 2.8.15 Win32 packages are built against GLib 2.10.1
and require it at run-time.
This would be no problem if there was glib-2.10.1 win32 binary
package available from where gtk-2.8.15 package is.
That was perhaps not a good idea, maybe I
need to rebuild them against GLib 2.8.6. On the other hand, GLib 2.10
*is* now the stable branch, 2.8 is old.
This wasn't a bad idea. But again - when one binary package require
another this another should be available.
What do the Linux distros that offer GTK+ 2.8.15 do?
They do have package managers which take care of dependancies - when
gtk is upgraded to a version compiled against newer glib then
automatically this newer glib is upgraded. It is automatic.
