file saving problem from pixmap.

hi,
i used the gdk_pixbuf_save() function to store a
pixbuf to file.before that i converted pixmap to
pixbuf.
but after using gdk_pixbuf_save also the image is not
loading to file.i am using gdk programming on linux federoracore 3.
so help me to solve this problem.
