Size of a GtkWidget

Hi all,

This is probably a stupid question, but how do I get the exact size of a
GtkWidget (in pixels)?

In all the documentation, I can find only functions for retrieving the
requested size or the default size, all of which have warnings of "not
being necessary correct"
