non-rectangular text box

Hello,
is there a way to create a non-rectangular text box , (not round, but
has more than 4 corners)?

I was thinking of combining a few text boxes, only then i cannot
select text split between two boxes, and i can insert text normally to
it.

Is there an elegant way to do it with a few boxes, or maybe a way to
make one box with a non-rectangular shape?
