I'm guessing ALLs soft meant the printer, since
LPT was the name for a Line Printer on some 1960s
DEC operating systems.
If so, the answer depends... to send something to the
printer, you can pipe output to lpr or lp; for a better
interface, see maybe libgnomeprint?
