I need transparent window please help

Hi  All
 
I need to have transparent window with alpha channel, so i 
want to decide how solid transparency is (for example in 33%, 
50% etc) i look through net but i haven't found anything 
which can help me, i can use xlib, gtk or gdk anything which 
lead me to have transparent window, any suggestion how solve 
this problem??
