Hands-Free Tree (List) Update

Hi,

I created a window pane, that contains a TreeView.

The pane is a scrollable window with a data list of information.

I added a button that, when pressed, will add (or append) 

another line of (previously setup) data, to the tree (list). .. works
fine, but now ...

 

I would like to remove the button press from this functionality and

I would like simulate the 'real process' by intially showing the events 

on a blank window and then append data to the TreeView,

using a 2 second delay between new data displays, 

hands free to show the next 20 or so data lines

 

Does this application suggest using a seperate thread with a time-delay
and

a data-append to an already displayed window?
