getting the whole text from gtktextview

hi hi,

isn't there a way to get the whole text from a gtktextview where I don't need to
get textiters first. I basically set the text using

gtk_text_buffer_set_text(gtk_text_view_get_buffer(tv,string,-1));

and on_textbuffer_changed whould like to retrive it.

str=gtk_text_buffer_get_text(tb,...)
NULL seems to be invalid to pass for the TextIters (this could be interpreted as
from start to end).
