Quick Q. Editors skeletons

Hi,
Got a quick question. Writing a GTK app that will require an
editor interface. Was thinking that instead of re-writing something
that has already been done, maybe I could use some gtk based
editor as a skeleton. I guess, can anyone think of a
fairly suitable one, or even one that was made with this in mind?
