We're not expecting to do any more 2.2.x releases; 2.4 is supposed
to be 100% compatible with 2.2, so there should by no problem
moving over to it.

(*) Note that it isn't 101% bug compatible so I wouldn't drop it
    in place of 2.2.x in production without some testing.
