Hmmm,
    I usualy keep a local copy of the API reference and company,
(which you can get by downloading the appropriate version of gtk+
btw) and for the mailing list, you can google with this string:
    `site:mail.gnome.org'
Unfortunatly that will search ALL the archives of all the lists,
but you can refine your search with all the standard google features ;-)
