"Refresh Button"?

I want to create the button that when we press it , it can re-load the input 
that we want to.
More in details about the application that I'm creating now............
I'm building the application that link with bluetooth,the GUI that I want , 
is to show the user list who are online now(so this link with bluetooth.c 
file that's do everything about network with bluetooth)
I create this GUI with GTK+2.0
So in this GUI, I want to add "the refresh button" with the check box 
list(this check box list is show about the name of user who are online)   , 
everytime that we press this "refresh button" , it will re-load the 
input(the user name who are online from the file bluetooth.c)
so is this relate with GTK timeout? or what widget in GTK+2.0 that I should 
use for this function?
