gdb reports problem on gtk_init but program works fine

When I run gdb on my application I get an error message on initializing
GTK (though things run fine both normally and debugging):
Error while reading shared library symbols:
: No such file or directory.
I just want to make sure that this is not a problem (though making the
message go away would be nice). Thanks for your help.
