GdkWindow of a GtkWidget for gtk_widget_event

hello all

i want to use gtk_widget_event to synthesize a button click on a
GtkButton.
i sent GDK_ENTER_NOTIFY, GDK_BUTTON_PRESS and GDK_BUTTON_RELEASE to that
widget,
but in gtkbutton.c at gtk_button_enter_notify test on
event_widget == widget
fails!
i set event->window to widget->window, but it seems thats not the right
way!!

can somebody please help me!!
