gtk_widget_show_all

Hello

Is the gtk_widget_show_all(..) call intended to show the widget(s)
pretty much straight away???

I have a code generation process that first calls ..show_all(..) on a
text-view dialogue that should report text-logs of 'real time'
progress. This generation can take a long time but the dialogue doesn't
show itself until the generation completes.
