Fullscreen application

Hi,

Is it possible to create a GTK application which runs in fullscreen mode 
(not maximised)? The application is to be used within a kiosk-type 
environment and does not need the window manager to be visible (i.e. no 
minimise, close buttons). Ideally I would like to use GTK1.2 but would 
be interested to know if it is possible in either v1.2 or v2.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
