  So far, no response.

  I have never written a widget. I think it will not be difficult to do. Let me
know if you want to start on that and we can bounce ideas around, i.e. should
we derive from Progressbar or from Cellrenderer -- what is the best aproach,
etc....

  Have you ever written GTK widgets?
