Hi,
Are you clear with your destination directory for the libraries files during
installation of GTK & all it's dependency packages.
I mean with "PREFIX" when you run "configure".
May be you could check the same directory entry is there in your
"/etc/ld.so.conf" file also.
to compile i have used the default command
" gcc ex.c `pkg-config --cflags --libs gtk+-2.0` "
but i am getting an error as
" gcc:
$(top_builddir)//usr/local/lib/pkgconfig/gdk-pixbuf/libgdk_pixbuf-2.0.la:
No such file or directory "
FOR THE BELOW PROBLEM:
"./a.out: error while loading shared libraries:
libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No
such file or directory"
have you tried running "/sbin/ldconfig"
cheers,
bheemesh.
