I figured it out. I had to turn off decoration and functions on the top
level window.

Hi,
In prev GTK 2.0 days I was able to setup my main windows to be
children of root without any
window manager buttons and such. Now with the current situation if I
make these windows children
of root they don't work the same. Enter/Leave events don't work, the
windows are lowered
automatically. How can I successfully define my windows to be just
plain windows without the
extra Window Manager functions?
The only way I can get some semblance of operation is to define my top
levels as "TopLevel" windows
and get all the window manager stuff.
Also I am having problems understanding what this "override redirect"
attribute is. Maybe this
is causing my windows to act funny?
Thanks in Advance,
Chris Sparks
