A question on the GTK1.2 theme engine quality.

Hi,

        I clearly know that, the current version of GTK is GTK2 and very much like GTK2, however,
        another fact is that, part of the q's applications is still not ported to GTK2 yet. And here 
        comes my question. !!

        Let me show you my problem first !
        When I use different theme which use the pixmap engine, to be exact, I have tried out
        various Aqua-ish theme, most of it will use a pixmap as the main widget background.
        But most of the time, the pixmap doens't drawn well on my machine. The image is uaually
        mixup with some scanline (I don't know what's it in fact), it seems that, the image is
        corrupted, but obviouly, it's not. As the image can displayed correctly and make me 
        very happy, some time.

        I've suspect that, it's my hardware quality, but, on the other hand, the problem never
        appear in the GTK+2 apps. So I wonder, what is the cause of this problem, and 
        is there any workaround for this??

        Lastly, just for my curiosity. Why the problem never occurs in GTK2 but only in GTK1?
