strange
i really can't help with rpms cause i did a source install
but normally u'll need to search for a file named
gtk+-2.0.pc
it should be located in /usr/lib/pkgconfig
do an rpm -qp | grep gtk+-2.0.pc
or updatedb; locate gtk+-2.0.pc  to find it
if you find it in a path other than /usr/lib/pkgconfig do
export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/lib/pkgconfig:<other/found/path>
if you didn't find it on your system you are missing some devel rpms
search for it @ rpmfind

    (gtk 1.2 and 2.0).
